This page is all about my experience in Math 2 and all the things I learned while in the class such as: binomials, probability and similarity. I also demonstrate how I have improved from the beginning of the school year with The Qualities of a Mathematician in which I talk about how I have grown in the subject and in real life. What math looks like for the every day 10th grader is one in which we sit in our tables try to help each other and learn more about out current math problems. This year I learned many things such as binomials and probabilities but the biggest take away I got was my ability to ask people if they need help and when I need help. A perfect example of this was when I have to ask assistances at stores for help, I surprisingly get nervous asking for help at stores because I feel like what I needed help with would simply be in front of me but after math I start getting a bit more confident asking workers for help.

Here you can see my group and I work on our casino project in which we had to make a game and calculate the probably of getting a certain hand. We also test other games in order to see if we can help them improve it.

My experience in 10th grade math was one of the best years of math I had because I learned many math equations and solutions all while having fun and enjoying myself. I started off concern about how the year would've been for me but a while after I got use to being in math and I started understanding quadratics. During quadratics I came a realization that my way of communicating with my team was in a know it all type of matter and got to the point were a friend had to tell me about it. After learning about my way of talking to others I decided to start asking more questions to see if people understand what I'm saying and then explain in a calmer more brief manner. I continued to go by this belief until one day I realized that no I'm not a know it all and that it's ok to ask for help and that I shouldn't be afraid to ask for help. This happened when I forgot how to use the quadratic formula and I started asking for help.
Some of my strengths I got in class were: equations, communications(at the end of the school year), collaboration(at the end of the school year) and experimenting. Some of my stretches were: mindfulness(beginning of the school year), understanding the math problem, understanding someone's answer. If I were to revise my work I would want to double check my work a bit more, I'm saying this because I rarely tried to double check my work and stuck to my believes. In some occasions this didn't felt like a big deal but during tests and quizzes this was noticeable. In order to push myself further in math I would want to take my time solving the problem and get a better understanding of it. The reason why I say this is because I have a tendency to rush straight into the problem and because of this I tend to get lost and have no clue what I should do or what I should've done. My most memorable moment in math was during the casino exhibition in which I was a dealer and had to explain to people how to play the game I helped created and I also took all their chips while during so. Another moment for my was when shared my portfolio to everyone for they can critique it, this was memorable to me because it made me feel uncomfortable but at the same time I felt like I would get a lot of help from it. I felt that I have grown from being a over confident and over positive into someone who makes sure everyone understands the situation that is placed in front of us and someone who takes percussion about what to do.
